The story
On Shab-e Yalda, the longest night of the year, families stay up together around bowls of pomegranate, anar, watermelon and nuts, and read from Hafez until long past midnight.
Persiahaus Studio drew the pomegranate as a geometric split: two halves, a grid of ruby seeds, set on a deep night field beneath a thin crescent moon. It is a picture of keeping company with the dark.
