How it works

You will see 25 statements about policies and values for Iran, five on each of five themes: the economy, society, governance, Iran's place in the world, and the country's diversity of languages, regions and faiths. For each one, say how strongly you agree or disagree, or skip it. On every theme some statements lean one way and some the other, so agreeing with everything does not push you in any direction. Your position on each theme is the average of your answers, with the statements that lean the other way counted in reverse.

What it is not

This is a conversation starter, not a scientific survey and not a verdict on you. Five themes cannot capture everything you believe, and people who land in the same place often get there for different reasons. The quiz does not place you next to any party, movement or person, and it does not suggest who you should support.

Privacy and fairness

Your answers never leave your device: nothing is sent to us or stored on our servers. The statements were written to be balanced, so that Iranians of every political view, faith and background can answer them in their own terms, and they are reviewed by our editors.
