The story
Persiahaus Studio drew a long red tribal rug of stacked hooked diamonds in ivory and indigo, beside a black nomad tent on clay ground under a saffron sky, inside a ruled frame.
Woven from memory rather than from paper, on looms that sometimes travel, village and tribal rugs make up much of Iran’s weaving. The full story is told in the Rugs section.
