The story

Persiahaus Studio drew a golden garden carpet studded with white jewels, its channels and trees in gold and turquoise, cut through by dark lines into pieces, on deep lapis, inside a ruled frame.

The most famous carpet in Persian history survives only as a description: a garden in silk and jewels, cut to pieces as war booty. The full story is told in the Rugs section.
