The story

Persiahaus Studio drew a striped jajim of narrow bands in red, ivory, indigo, saffron and turquoise beside a red kilim of stepped diamonds in saffron, turquoise and ivory, on turquoise, inside a ruled frame.

Not every Persian rug has a pile. The flatweaves of villages and tents are lighter, quicker and often bolder. The full story is told in the Rugs section.
