The story
Nur, light, is one of the great images of Persian poetry and mystical writing, where the light of a lamp, the sun or the beloved’s face often stands for knowledge and the divine. It is also simply a word in everyday use.
Persiahaus Studio set nur in Nastaliq, paper on an ink-black ground, over a pomegranate arch, inside a fine ruled frame with turquoise stars at the corners. It is a quiet piece made for a bedroom or a study.
