The story
Nastaliq is the flowing calligraphic hand most closely associated with Persian, prized for its long, swinging horizontal strokes. Written with a cut reed pen, it measures its proportions in rhombic dots made by the pen’s nib.
Persiahaus Studio isolated the gesture rather than the word: abstract sweeps of a reed-pen stroke in black and saffron, accompanied by a few rhombic dots. It spells nothing. It is calligraphy reduced to its physics.
