Rain
The story
Baran, rain, carries great weight in a country where so much of the land is arid, and Persian poetry is full of spring rain, clouds weeping over gardens and the green that follows. It is also a much-loved given name in Iran.
Persiahaus Studio set baran in ink Nastaliq on a turquoise ground, over a saffron diamond, framed by a ruled line with small red stars at the corners. The diamond gives the soft word a hard edge to stand against.
