The story
The chahar bagh, the fourfold garden, divides a walled enclosure into quarters with channels of water meeting at a central pool. The cypress, sarv, lines its paths and stands in Persian poetry for the upright grace of the beloved.
Persiahaus Studio drew the garden from above, the way a designer first imagines it: blue channels crossing at an octagonal pool, four flame-shaped cypresses reaching from the centre toward the corners, and fruit trees along the edges.
