The story
Star-shaped tiles, often eight-pointed and set with cross-shaped tiles between them, have lined the walls of Persian buildings for centuries. Seen close up each tile is a small complete design; seen from across the courtyard they dissolve into a single surface.
Persiahaus Studio drew a tall field of eight-pointed stars on a pomegranate ground, in saffron, ink and paper, with small lapis stars at each corner of the grid. It is a narrow piece for a hallway or a reception desk.
