Doogh is a savoury drink of yoghurt thinned with water, seasoned with salt and dried mint. It is served ice-cold, most famously alongside chelow kabab.
It is made at home still, and sold bottled in both still and sparkling forms; some versions add dried pennyroyal or other herbs.

Tips from the kitchen
- Use less water for a thicker doogh, more for a lighter one; tastes vary.
- A pinch of dried dill or a little crushed rose petal also works.
