Court poet of the Shirvanshahs, master of the learned and difficult qasida. This portrait is imagined, not a likeness: it belongs to the series Persiahaus Studio drew for the Greats of Persian poetry.
Persiahaus Studio drew khaqani with a short dark beard and a lapis turban, against a white halo on saffron, with the great arch of Ctesiphon.
