The story

Persiahaus Studio drew the world divided: on the left a white and saffron sun on lapis for Ahura Mazda, on the right a red serpent in the black for Ahriman, the border between them a jagged line, inside a ruled frame.

The Wise Lord and the Hostile Spirit: the oldest Iranian account of a world in which every person takes a side, and the moral heart of a faith still practised today. The full story is told in the Mythology section.
