The story
One face, four Iranians: a woman in a headscarf, a woman with her hair uncovered, a Kurdish man in his turban and a young man from the city. Each strip of the portrait is a different person, and the eyes, nose and mouth line up across them: one face, shared.
The IRANI posters take their cue from Australia’s AUSSIE posters, which set a single portrait above one word. Here the word is the one Iranians use for themselves, ایرانی, Irani, beneath people who often disagree about faith, dress and politics, and who share it all the same.
