Go about your business, preacher
Hafez
Go about your business, preacher: what is all this shouting?
My heart has fallen from the road; what has befallen you?
In her waist, which God created out of nothing,
there is a subtlety no created being has unravelled.
Until her lip brings me my desire, as it does the reed flute,
the advice of the whole world is wind in my ear.
The beggar of your lane has no need of the eight paradises;
the captive of your love is free of both worlds.
Though the drunkenness of love has ruined me,
the foundation of my being is built up from that ruin.
O heart, do not complain of the beloved's injustice and cruelty, for the beloved
gave you this as your portion, and this is justice.
Go, Hafez, do not recite tales or breathe spells,
for I remember many of these tales and spells.
