The story
In the Persian garden, water is the organising line: it runs in straight channels, gathers in pools and divides the ground into beds. The cypress, sarv, stands along the paths and keeps its green through every season.
Persiahaus Studio drew the garden in plan on a saffron ground, with lapis channels crossing at a star pool, ink cypresses in ordered rows and a fine paper-coloured wall around each garden. The diptych gives the plan room to breathe across two canvases.
