The story
The square and the circle sit at the base of both Persian geometric design and the Bauhaus workshop. In one they generate stars and domes; in the other they became the alphabet of a new kind of modern design.
Persiahaus Studio built a grid of squares on paper, each filled with a quarter circle, half circle, full circle, triangle, stripes or pointed arch in lapis, pomegranate, saffron and ink. Across three canvases the grid reads like a sampler of the house shapes.
